1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using the NotchTutor application or using notchtutor.com (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

NotchTutor is an AI-powered grammar and writing assistant for macOS. The app is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid tiers in the future; any change will not retroactively charge you for features you already use for free.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the NotchTutor app on devices you own or control, for your own use. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the text you write. Because the app processes text locally on your device, we never receive it and claim no rights over it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt it, probing or breaching its security, using it to violate the law, or abusing sign-in and download endpoints.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Grammar suggestions are generated automatically and may be imperfect; you are responsible for the final text you send or publish. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NotchTutor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; Sections 4, 6, and 7 survive termination.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
